We want to thank everyone who joined us for our Annual Candlelight Vigil in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

This event is made possible with the love and support of our community who continue to honor and remember those who are impacted by domestic violence.

It was a true privilege to host Ms. Sharon Love who shared her testimony and memories of her Daughter, Yeardley Love, who was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2010.

Ms. Love has since founded the One Love Foundation, which aims to educate and prioritize healthy relationships across our globe. Through education and empowerment, youth are emboldened to identify the warning signs and speak out against abusive relationships. To date, the One Love Foundation has reached over 3.5 million individuals!

We were also honored to be joined by the Frye Family who led our candle lighting ceremony in remembrance of their Mother, Sister, Cousin, Aunt and Friend whose life was lost to domestic violence.

We are forever grateful for our Law Enforcement and allied professionals who work tirelessly to ensure a safe and supportive community for survivors. Additionally, we’d like to thank the Culpeper Baptist Church for hosting this vigil year after year!

Information on the One Love Foundation can be found here: https://www.joinonelove.org/

If you are a survivor of crime or are in need of services, please call our office at (540) 727-3413 or (800) 799-7233 for the National Domestic Violence Hotline. You are not alone and resources are available!
