Culver City is excited to unveil the official logo for the 75th anniversary of Fiesta La Ballona, celebrating 75 years of the beloved “Party at the Park.”

The anniversary logo was created by design artist Tamara Gould and honors one of Culver City’s most treasured community traditions.

First held in 1951, Fiesta La Ballona began as a partnership between the City of Culver City and the Culver City Chamber of Commerce. What started as a weeklong celebration of Culver City’s early heritage has grown into a true Festival of the People, bringing together residents, families, performers, visitors, and neighbors from across the region.

Over the decades, Fiesta has evolved, but its spirit has remained the same: a time for the community to come together, relax, celebrate, and enjoy family, friends, and neighbors.

Hey Sunkist Park, we want your feedback. As part of the Sepulveda Connects Project, the City is exploring ways to reduce cut-through traffic in the Sunkist Park neighborhood.

You may have seen posters along Berryman Avenue at Segrell Way, Culver Park Drive, and the alleyway highlighting proposed traffic diverters.

These concepts are intended to help reduce cut-through traffic, but they may also require some residents who live on those streets to use Slauson Avenue or Sawtelle Boulevard to reach their homes.

We want to hear from you: is the trade-off worth it?

Join us for a community design workshop to learn more, ask questions, and share your feedback.

Wednesday, June 17
El Marino Park

Can’t attend in person? You can still send comments to the project team at [email protected].

Big News for Culver City Pickleball! 🎾

Local courts are changing to keep everyone playing. To ensure both pickleball and paddle tennis fans have a place to play, the city is moving forward with a shared-space plan.

Here’s what you need to know about your favorite parks 🌳

➡️ Culver West Alexander Park: This will stay the main spot for both sports. It will keep its clear, blue kitchen zone so pickleball players can easily see the lines, but the nets will stay at the standard paddle tennis height.

➡️ Elenda Street & Fox Hills Park: These courts are being dual-striped, meaning they’ll have lines for both sports, with soundproofing in place to keep the neighborhood happy!

➡️ Syd Kronenthal Park: These courts will have a uniform color to give paddle tennis players more room.

In addition, a brand-new Racquet Court Center is officially in the works for Culver City Park! It will have dedicated courts specifically for pickleball, paddle tennis and regular tennis so everyone gets their own space. Design for the new center is estimated to take 6 to 9 months. In the meantime, let’s keep things friendly on the shared courts!
