Mark your calendars for Children's Arts Festival! Saturday, September 26 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Arts Festival is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Arts Festival is one of our favorite days of the year! It's a day when everyone can gather, create, and enjoy time together as family and neighbors. It's also one of our largest fundraisers of the year -- helping to power transformative services and programs all year long. School starts sooner than you think!

This month children in foster care, children in our early education programs, siblings, and other local children in need will receive backpacks, school supplies, shoes, and more at our annual Back to School Event.

But your help is needed before July 15 because we don’t have enough supplies for every child yet.

Please make a gift today, and every dollar will be doubled thanks to a generous $10,000 matching challenge, to provide school supplies and more for a child in need.

Meet the team! 👋

Melissa Dennis is one of Allies' Mental Health Interns, a vital part of our programming. Interns collaborate across programs to support the well-being of the children and families we serve, making our mental health services more far-reaching and impactful.

A Navy veteran who fell in love with California during her time in San Diego, Melissa chose Allies because she wanted a place to grow as a clinician while making a meaningful difference. She's proud to be part of an organization that prioritizes inclusivity and meets people where they are, with genuine care and respect for the community.

After completing her internship, Melissa plans to specialize in s*x therapy with a focus on supporting survivors of trauma and helping clients reconnect with themselves and their relationships in more empowering ways.
