With election day coming up this Wednesday, September 12, we will need every vote. If you think there is a possibility that you may not be able to come to the polls on Wednesday, come to the Town Clerk's office on Tuesday, September 11th between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM and request an emergency ballot. You will be able to vote there.

This is an important election for the future of our town.Thank you again for all the support from everyone over the last few months. It all comes down to these last few days and we are truly grateful.

Do you want to help make a difference in our Town? The Murray for Mayor campaign headquarters will be open every weeknight from 5-8 PM from now through the election on Wednesday, September 12th. We need you!

Our seniors have worked their whole lives to enjoy their retirement years. They deserve to have someone on their side, who will support them and keep their taxes affordable. Bill Murray has done that.

Our schedule has been packed the last few weeks with events, but I just wanted to share a couple photos from my speeches around Town and a couple photos from the Touch A Truck event this past weekend with my grandson.

A big thank you to everyone who has responded so positively to our campaign! We can't wait to make you all proud on September 12th!

Mayor Murray is a strong supporter of our public schools, with approx. $5,000,000 in new funds during his terms. He also provided approx. $9,000,000 in funds for school repairs during that time.

The Mayor was able to provide this funding while keeping the tax rate stable and improving the Town's bond rating to AA+. Help elect Mayor Murray for one more term so he can continue supporting our local public schools!

Statement from the Murray for Mayor Campaign regarding a debate:

The Murray for Mayor Campaign has yet to receive a formal request from any organization sponsoring a debate for Mayor of Cumberland. We take the Office of Mayor seriously, and would be happy to participate in a professional debate hosted by an independent/nonpartisan group willing to sponsor such a forum.

Another great event last night with Mayor Murray, Mike Kinch, Tim McCann and Rep. Jim McLaughlin talking about how they will move Cumberland forward. We heard so many positive things from the attendees.

What a busy weekend!

The Mayor went door to door speaking to residents in neighborhoods all over Town, listening to their comments.

He also spoke to over 60 students at the OCYL leadership program. They asked many questions and show well for the future of Cumberland.

Also, he spoke to the group Vets for Child Rescue, who were holding an event at the Monastery. A great cause, working to prevent child exploitation. Check them out!

And finally -- CumberlandFest. Joe Vela and his steering committee did a fantastic job as always this weekend, raising funds for our town youth groups. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as good as hoped, but still a great event. Thank you to everyone who helped put it on.
