This school year, make learning wild! Plan a trip to The Wilds with your school group for both an unforgettable and educational experience, whether it be with a Youth Safari Tour or DayVenture Program!

At The Wilds, our Youth Safari Tours allow students to see many of the amazing species in our care, including cheetahs, rhinos, and giraffes! Along the way, our guides also provide insightful information for students about the conservation and restoration work done at The Wilds.

Want to take your field trip to the next level? Book a DayVentures Program! During our DayVentures Program, our Education team leads students through hands-on lessons in conservation and outdoor activities while also getting to take a tour of The Wilds to see our various endangered and threatened species.

Rawr! Some little baby teeth are poking through for Kuki's cheetah cubs 🦷

While cheetah cubs are born toothless, their sharp deciduous (baby) teeth start to erupt around two to three weeks of age. They lose these baby teeth and grow their permanent adult teeth between three and seven months of age, a teething timeline similar to humans!

Stay tuned to our social channels for more adorable cub content coming soon. We love watching these little ones growing up so fast!

Happy International Scimitar-horned Oryx Day! These beautiful desert antelope, with coats that remind us a little of toasted marshmallows, once roamed across North Africa. But after years of extensive poaching, scimitar-horned oryx became extinct in the wild.

Then came an incredible conservation comeback. 🌍

The Wilds helped support a carefully-managed breeding population, with the hope that one day these animals could return to their native range. And, in 2016, that day came. Through a global reintroduction effort, scimitar-horned oryx were returned to Chad in North Africa, including THREE animals born right here at The Wilds!

Today, scimitar-horned oryx are once again living in their native range, and the species has been downlisted to Endangered. From Ohio to Africa, we’re incredibly proud to have played a role in bringing this species back from the brink.
