Plant a Seed, Read! is the theme for the Summer.
School is out on Wednesday.
Thursday morning we have our first program!
Farm Bureau will be presenting Garden in a Glove on Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Cumberland Library.
Thursdays in June at 10:30 and a couple of Fridays at 1:30 plan to have your kids or grandkids here at the library for our fun planned events.

Plan on spending time with your community on Memorial Day! Monday morning, May 25 come to the Memorial Day Breakfast and Service at the Cumberland Community Building. Come see the displays recognizing local servicemen. Please share this ad with your friends and encourage them to attend, too. Announcing Cumberland Public Library May Adult Craft Class. Sunday, May 31 at 1:30 Sindra Lensch will be instructing on making a Porch Leaner. Cost for this craft is $25. We have a limit of 8 people, so the sooner you sign up the better!

Cumberland Public Library will be closing at 5 pm on Thursday and Friday May 14 & 15. We'll still be here 9 - 5!!

We received some positive feedback from our Spice of the Month in April. The Cinnamon Muffins people made got good reviews! Stop in now (in May) to pick up your new spice packet and recipe! This month's spice is Dill! Don't forget to give us feedback!

We had a full class at Cumberland Public Library on Sunday afternoon, April 26 for Macrame Flags. Despite some conversation about knots Not being easy, and wondering if Macrame Knots might tie us in knots; 😊 it was an enjoyable class! Thanks again to Sindra for being a patient teacher! Our next America's 250th Anniversary Adult Craft Class isn't scheduled yet, but we'll be posting information soon.

Have you noticed all the pretty yellow Dandelions announcing spring? Were you aware that Dandelions should be one of your favorite weeds? Cumberland Public Library is going to be celebrating Dandelion Days next week! Come and find out about All Things Dandelion. We'll have information on Dandelion nutrition and Dandelion products. We'll have books for children like "The Dandelion Seed" and an adult book "Dandelion Medicine". Some samples of Dandelion items will be offered. Crafts centered on Dandelions will also be available. Please take a few minutes and stop in and join our fun! Dandelion Days will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 30, May 1 & 2. We are open Thursday and Friday 9-6 and Saturday 8:30-10:30.
