Cumberland Firefighters The departments operates out of four fire stations. The departments employs 53 career personnel which are spread across 4 platoons.

This is the official page of the Cumberland Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2722 which represents the uniformed firefighters below the rank of Chief employed by the Cumberland Fire Department. The Cumberland Fire Department has the responsibility to provide fire and emergency services in Cumberland, RI located in Providence County, 10 minutes north of the capitol city of Providence a

nd 45 minutes south if the City of Boston, MA. The Department provides emergency services to 34,000+ citizens of Cumberland, in an area of 28.6 square miles. The districts are made up of mostly single family homes, multi-family dwellings, and mill style commercial buildings.

❗️Law Enforcement Torch Run Notice❗️

🗓Tomorrow-Friday, May 29th🗓

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Rhode Island will be taking place across the State.

Please note that the Woonsocket leg (Woonsocket ->the Statehouse) begins at ⏰️9:30 a.m. The runners are expected to reach Cumberland in the area of Mendon Road at Rt. 99 at approximately 9:57 a.m. and will continue South on Mendon Road to the Lincoln line (Ann & Hope Way). *Expected arrival time is 11:22 a.m.*

⚠️Please note that there will be traffic delays as the runners make their way through town. Please plan accordingly.

Mark your calendars!

We are back for a second year. Come out for the vs. Cumberland Public Safety hockey game on March 22nd. This is a fundraising event and all proceeds go to the Cumberland High School hockey booster club. Come out and show your support! Our foundation was able to make a monetary donation and fund the ice time for this event. $10 cash entry at the door.
