Cumberland Firefighters The departments operates out of four fire stations. The departments employs 53 career personnel which are spread across 4 platoons.

This is the official page of the Cumberland Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2722 which represents the uniformed firefighters below the rank of Chief employed by the Cumberland Fire Department. The Cumberland Fire Department has the responsibility to provide fire and emergency services in Cumberland, RI located in Providence County, 10 minutes north of the capitol city of Providence a

nd 45 minutes south if the City of Boston, MA. The Department provides emergency services to 34,000+ citizens of Cumberland, in an area of 28.6 square miles. The districts are made up of mostly single family homes, multi-family dwellings, and mill style commercial buildings.

Mark your calendars!

We are back for a second year. Come out for the vs. Cumberland Public Safety hockey game on March 22nd. This is a fundraising event and all proceeds go to the Cumberland High School hockey booster club. Come out and show your support! Our foundation was able to make a monetary donation and fund the ice time for this event. $10 cash entry at the door.

Thank you ALL from us at Touch A Truck 2025! We had the best day with the best people. There were so many companies and individuals who shared their vehicles with us, so many smiles, and a lot of NOISE (after 10 of course!)
This year we debuted our sensory hour, and it was wonderful to see all the new faces that we wouldn’t have before.
We want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors, those who continue to support us every year as well as new ones just learning about us and what we do. This is the Cumberland Professional Firefighters biggest fundraiser, and allows us to give back to our community throughout the year.
We also want to thank our members and our families. There is a large amount of planning that goes into this event, and those families are the unwavering support for those working so hard to make it a reality.
