Good Morning, Cumberland!

Just a friendly reminder that here at Cumberland City Hall we like the water bills to be paid on time. What we don’t like, is to disconnect water services from our citizens. If you currently have an outstanding balance please expect a visit from our city maintenance man soon! Thank you for your time and cooperation in this matter.

Good Afternoon, Cumberland!

With the impending weather this weekend and early next week we will be disconnecting the bulk water at the water tower. Just until the negative temps come up a bit!

These negative temps also cause for some concern with residential pipes bursting and causing leaks. Please check the attached infographic on how to prevent frozen pipes and what to do if they do burst.

Unfortunately for the consumer, if this does happen, the financial responsibility then falls on you to pay for the water and the repairs. So let's do what we can to keep those pipes from freezing!

Thank you ❄️

Cumberland City Hall was closed yesterday and will remain closed today. Both my kids are sick, and with the state of the world it's not worth the risk to the public for me to be there.

Good afternoon, Cumberland.

After the President's address yesterday suggesting social distancing continue until April 30th it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this year's Easter Egg Hunt.

We are hoping that by the time this is all over we will be able to plan something fun for the kids of this community to make up for the loss of this event.

We hope you all are well. Wash your hands, cover coughs and sneezes, and practice social distancing.

Thank you.

Meter reading is a once a month position where a person will read the water meters and properly translate onto paper what the reading is. There are 130 meters to be read, and meters must be read between the 23rd and 27th of each month.

Snow removal is on an as needed basis and includes shoveling and de-icing sidewalks and walks for City buildings, and those buildings who do not properly remove snow.
