Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Cadets Unit 740 Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Cadets Unit 740 The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post 740 is located in Cu***ng, GA.

We work to help prepare young men and women between the ages of 14 and 21 for a possible career in law enforcement. The program was started by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office in 1995 and has been growing ever since. This program helps to teach about every role law enforcement plays in our community. We meet every Tuesday night and learn about criminal law, criminal procedure, traffic law and m

any more topics. These are taught through classroom study and practical scenarios. The weekly meetings are instructed by the post advisors as well as guest speakers and instructors. The members of this post are expected to maintain their grades in school as well as their personal physical fitness. It is our goal to make sure these young adults advance in their possible careers as well as their personal lives. Congratulations to these Cadets on their performance at BSA Scout Show. On Saturday April 20th, they competed in 8 scenarios where they walked away with 7 trophies for those events and brought home the first place overall trophy.

The 7 scenario trophies were made up of; 4 first, 2 second, and 1 third place rankings out of all 10 groups competing.

Bittersweet meeting for the cadet program tonight. We have a cadet headed to West Point, so she will become an honorary Lt. in the program and help out whenever she is back home on leave.
