The two visions for this country have never been more different. The left is approaching levels of neo-marxism and divisiveness that I never thought possible, while the right continues to promote american exceptionalism and optimism. The media is a disgrace, completely complicit in promulgating the narrative that America is an evil place and Donald Trump is the worst human on the planet. It's exhausting. How many lies over the last 4 years have we endured at the hands of the media through headline manipulation and a desire to perpetuate their divisive narrative. We can only be lied to and gas-lighted for so long.

Here's an example of a purple party post..

What I want to hear from DONALD tonight is that he GETS IT. I want him to LEAD and I want him to view the recent global outbreak of a virus from the perspective of a family or individual. Our healthcare system is about to be tested from a moral and ethical standpoint.

A GLOBAL HEALTHCARE CRISIS SHOULD NOT BE A PROFIT EVENT FOR THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY. Bet they are licking their chops.

when someone thinks/feels like they have symptoms or knows/thinks they have been exposed to the Coronavirus, they should not be faced with the choice between doing the right thing from a social/community standpoint and financial ruin. I am sure that your primary care physician or the doc in the box on the corner is not going to have the ability to test for the Coronavirus. So they are going to send you to the hospital... OH JOY. So how many hundreds/thousands of dollars is an individual or family going to be expected to absorb in deductibles co pays, and co-insurance when they decide to do the right thing and get tested? The answer should be that this is NOT A PROFIT EVENT for the healthcare industry. When Donald takes the podium tonight, this should not be a repeat of 2009 when the govt throws BILLIONS or TRILLIONS at the banks, and extracts same from mortgage owners. Is our healthcare system too big to fail too? So when he gets up to calm us all down tonight, he needs to talk about how Anthem and United Healthcare are not about to get billions while your neighbor gets a bill for three grand because they did the right thing..

And again, lets also talk about "voluntary" quarantine and what that means to a large percentage of our households... It should be ILLEGAL to fire someone because they are in quarantine and serious thought should be given to the financial implications to a family who takes the financial hit so YOUR family can be safe. If this is going to work, a perspective beyond what our traditional for profit healthcare system provides is going to need to be considered...

I see parallels in this article, and the theme of this page. The "Exhausted Majority" they describe aligns with the premise of my idea for the Purple Party. Where common sense lives and people are willing to compromise. My hunch is that I would slide this right about 5-6 points. I don't believe that everyone in the tribe "Traditional Conservatives" is unwilling to compromise and I dont think everyone in the "Traditional Liberals" tribe is looking to compromise to move our country forward. This is close though... It speaks to the idea that extremists who control the two political parties and the stage at the moment ARE THE PROBLEM, not the solution...
