Good morning all, as many of you know we had some pretty violent storms come through the Cunningham area lastnight and into the early morning hours, as of right now both Jackson purchase and west Kentucky rural electric customers in the Cunningham Water District are without power, that being said our pump house is too without power. I ask that customers please minimize use during this time as to not deplete our water supply. For now it is uncertain how long the pumps will be down, in the meantime we will see about maybe finding a generator to try and get at least one pump working. Thank you.

Update: The Fire Department is finished doing flow checks, some Customers on 1820 may experience some cloudy water. If you live on 1820 and have cloudy water please don’t be alarmed. You should follow the boil water procedure and it should clear up shortly.

If some of our customers experience a drop in water pressure, don’t be alarmed. The Cunningham Fire Department is flow testing hydrants. Pressure should return as soon as they are done.

Update on the boil water order. We will remain under the boil water order until sometime next week. We have to get the water tested before we can lift it. Remember to boil your water that is used for consumption (drinking or food preparation) for at least 3 minutes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cunningham Water District customers. Due to low pressure in the system and the amount of time the water is going to be out. We are issuing a boil water order. Any water for consumption need to be boiled for at least three minutes before drinking or for cooking. This boil water order will stand until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience

Cunningham Water District customers just letting you know that your water will either be out or low pressure for a little while while we fix a leak. Sorry for any inconveniences. We should have it back on in a couple hours.

Be sure to know where your water shut off is and mark it with something that will allow you to find it in snow. Place cardboard over the meter pit to be able to access it. Do not leave the lid off or it will freeze at the meter.
