Our History
1973 Three public nurses form Cupertino Roundup as a community outreach program
1976 Cupertino Roundup becomes Cupertino Community Services (CCS)
1985 First BBQ/Auction fundraiser
1990 CCS begins administering the City of Cupertino Below Market Housing Program CCS moves to Quinlan Community Center and launches a full service food pantry CCS collaborates with Faith-in-Action to operate

the rotating shelter
1993 CCS celebrates the 20th anniversary with a new logo
1996 CCS acquires a four-plex to provide transitional housing to homeless men, women and children
2001 Vista Village capital campaign launches
2003 Vista Village, a 24 unit rental complex, opens
2004 CCS launches the Family Resources Program to provide services to families with children 0 to 5
2005 CCS establishes the Legacy Society to support the CCS Endowment Fund
2008 CCS changes its name to West Valley Community Services (WVCS)
2009 WVCS opens Los Gatos Family Resource Center in Los Gatos
WVCS gets its first refrigerated Mobile Food Pantry Van
2010 WVCS establishes Taste of Compassion monthly fundraising dinners featuring local restaurants
2011 WVCS launches the 1st Annual West Valley Dash of Hope
WVCS creates the signature Chefs of Compassion event
2012 WVCS launches new redesigned website
2013 WVCS celebrates its 40th Anniversary and the 10th Anniversary of Vista Village
2016 WVCS launches a Mobile Food Pantry with support from Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors

Because of your generosity and the hard work of our postal carriers, our pantry shelves are stocked to help neighbors in need.

Through the West Valley Community Services (WVCS) "Share Your Love" campaign, you can make a donation in honor of your mom, grandmother, or mentor.
