⭐️ Volunteering with JA , specifically the Prince George’s County location was an absolute treat!

SK1 spent the day teaching 7th graders about financial independence. It sounds rough… but it was SO FUN!!

They each were given an “adult” scenario with a family and a career (including that career’s salary). They had 22 categories to budget and shop for, plus they received a short intro to each category. Categories ranged from post secondary education to medical insurance, all the while they had to keep an eye on credit card usage and any housing or car loans they took out.

Today we remember AST2 Tyler Jaggers, who recently passed away from injuries sustained.

The Coast Guard community has lost a shipmate, a rescue swimmer, and a dedicated guardian of those in peril on the sea. Aviation Survival Technicians represent courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to saving others — and AST2 Jaggers carried that responsibility with honor.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fellow Coast Guard shipmates during this incredibly difficult time.

Today, we honor 🛟 Coast Guard hero, Dr. Olivia Ho**er, who was recently recognized at a commissioning ceremony. 🫡

“The first African-American woman to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard. Ho**er enlisted in 1945 as a member of the SPARs during World War II and later became a professor of psychology at Fordham University and an advocate for education, mental health, and civil rights.”

Another excellent job done by CGEA-Baltimore👏🏻

We hosted a Salvation Army Angel Tree for the entire base and we sponsored 50 children!

These toys will be enjoyed by kids in the Baltimore City area. 🧸

🎄 CGEA-Baltimore’s first ever Trees for Troops event was a huge success! Thank you FedEx for the delivery!!

We were able to give away 75 trees to members in the Baltimore area.

🍪❄️ Hot cocoa, homemade baked goods, lots of laughs, and freshly fallen snow made for a day to remember.

CGEA Baltimore partnered with FedEx and Trees for Troops this year. 🌲

We applied for and were chosen to receive 75 trees to give to Baltimore members and their families!

Tomorrow from 1200-1400 we will be outside the gym with hot cocoa, music, and baked goods.
