Summer may be here, but the work and the learning, never slows down here at NCTA.

This week, Ranch Crew saddled up and headed into Aggieland to gather cattle and bring them into the feedlot. While the weather didn’t always cooperate, our students showed up ready to work, gaining valuable experience in livestock handling, animal care, and daily ranch management.

These are the kinds of opportunities that make NCTA unique. Students aren’t just learning about the agriculture industry, they’re actively participating in it. Through partnerships with local producers and hands-on responsibilities, they develop the skills, confidence, and work ethic needed for successful careers after graduation.

Early mornings, changing weather, and plenty of hard work are all part of the process. And for our students, that’s where some of the best learning happens.

The Nebraska Cattlemen’s Ball was a wonderful opportunity to connect with producers, alumni, supporters, and friends of agriculture from across the state.

NCTA was honored to be invited to participate, with Ranch Horse Coach Jo Hergenreder and several NCTA alumni hosting a roping dummy activity that helped keep visitors of all ages engaged throughout the event. It was great to see everyone, from beginners to experienced ropers; step up and give it a try.

We were also proud to have additional alumni and Interim Dean Kelly Bruns representing NCTA and sharing the story of our students, programs, and hands-on approach to agricultural education.

A special thank you to John Schroeder and Darr Feedlot for their hospitality and support, including the opportunity to showcase NCTA videos in the Beef Tent. Partnerships like these help us share the impact of technical agriculture education and the opportunities available to future Aggies.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit, rope, and learn more about NCTA. We appreciate your support and look forward to being part of this outstanding event again in the future.

💧🔧 Day 1 of the Nebraska Career Education Conference is in the books!

NCTA’s Dan Stehlik shared his “Going with the Flow” hydraulics session, and we enjoyed connecting with CTE educators from across the state.

If you’re attending tomorrow, stop by our booth to learn how NCTA can help engage your students through hands-on agriculture, veterinary technology, and animal science career exploration opportunities.

We’d love to visit with you!

The future looks bright, Aggies!

Today, we had the opportunity to welcome another group of future NCTA students to campus for New Student Enrollment Day.

From meeting new roommates and connecting with faculty, to taking some of their first steps toward careers in agriculture, it was exciting to watch the next chapter begin!

Thank you to every student and family who spent the day with us and chose NCTA as your home. We are honored to be part of your journey and can’t wait to welcome you back to campus for orientation in August!

See you soon, Aggies. ❤️🖤

Today, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a legacy we will never forget.

From all of us at NCTA, thank you to those who served and to the families who continue to carry that sacrifice with pride. 🇺🇸

What better way to kick off summer than with spring branding in Aggieland. 🤠

Yesterday, students, faculty, and community members came together to brand more than 100 head, giving Ranch Crew another opportunity to build real-world livestock experience outside the classroom.

A huge thank you to Pat Breen for trusting NCTA students with both his fall and spring herds. Partnerships like this give our students the hands-on experience they came here for while also allowing NCTA to give back to the ag community that supports us.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help, and to NCTA Food Services for providing lunch afterward.

Good cattle, good people, and another good day to be an Aggie.
