Curwensville Police Log 🚓🐎

On 08/05/2026, officers were called to the 400 block of Bloomington Avenue for a suspicious male. Subject was a salesman.

On 08/04/2026, officers responded to the 500 block of Locust Street for a reported fraud involving a credit card. The victim was a 59 year old female. Investigation revealed it was a family member and the victim declined prosecution.

Parking complaint in the 200 block of Eastview Drive on 08/06/2026.

On 08/06/2026, officers responded to the 400 block of George Street for a reported issue with medications for a 76 year old female. Family member assisted as well as the family’s Doctor to rectify the situation.

Curwensville’s Code Enforcement Officer reported individuals soliciting without a permit throughout the Borough. Warning issued and individuals applied for the required permits. 08/05/2026.

On 08/02/2026, our officer responded to a tree blocking the roadway at Lincoln and Hudson Road. Station 8 Fire responded and removed the tree.

Officers responded to Anderson Avenue for threats to a female from a known male. Investigation continuing. 07/29/2026.

On 07/29/2026, officer responded to River Street to assist fire personnel with a stranded 13 year old male along the river bank. The 13 year old was retrieved back to safety.

On 07/28/2026, officers responded to a reported Hit and Run to an unoccupied vehicle near South Street.

On 07/28/2026, in a follow-up to a Sexual Assault case, a suspect’s cell phone was seized with a search warrant. Investigation continuing.

The Department is investigating threats received via Facebook Messenger to a 44 year old male. Investigation is continuing. 08/15/2026.

On 08/13/2026, a business owner reported a suspicious male entered her business and was acting agressive to her staff in the 400 block of State Street. Subject was gone upon officer’s arrival but contact was subsequently made. Owner did not want charges pressed and subject was warned to not return.

On 08/12/2026, officers responded to an argument between spouses. The female was distraught and was transported for mental evaluation.

The department received a complaint of an individual sending Child Po*******hy. The case is being investigated. 08/08/2026.

A hit and run occurred in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store, State Street, Curwensville on 08/05/2026 at approximately 7:22 pm. This is a person of interest. Please contact the Curwensville Police Department at (814) 236-3858 or message us on Facebook if you know this person’s identity.

UPDATE- Subject identified, charges pending.

08/05/2026

On 07/18/2026, officers responded to a complaint of an individual threatening residents in the 400 block of Chestnut Street. Mercedes Marie GRAHAM, 31 year old female, Bigler Avenue, Clearfield Pa. 16830, was cited for Disorderly Conduct. She harassed and threatened occupants of the residence.

Two elderly residents were reported in a dispute over personal items on 4th Avenue. All issues resolved without police intervention. Occurred on 07/15/2026.

A 14 year old female was traveling North on Susquehanna Avenue on an e-bike. She crashed at the intersection on Ann Street, 07/15/2026. The 14 year old was transported from the scene by EMS with broken bones.

On 07/14/2026, officers responded to a call for help at the corner of State and Filbert Streets. Officers found a 70 year old male abandoned by their caretaker in a wheelchair. Officers transported the male home and have made a report to the Clearfield County Area Office of Aging. Investigation continuing.

On 07/24/2026, officers responded to a mentally ill 77 year old male threatening to commit su***de. Officers attended to the male getting medical attention and ensuring EMS transportation to a proper medical facility.

On 07/21/2026, a resident reported a dog violation in the 100 block on Anderson Avenue. Dog back with owner upon arrival.

On 07/21/2026, officers responded to the 500 block on Meadow Street. The female victim reported that individual(s) broke the windows out of her camper trailer and damaged Verizon property. After obtaining local video in the area and an extensive investigation it led to several perpetrators who confessed to the crimes. Action pending.

🚨 ‼️ We have been getting a lot of questions and concerns regarding E-bikes. Please review the flyer. Officers will be enforcing E-Bike (along with other off road vehicle) violations.

🚲 Not every bike with a battery is considered an e-bike under Pennsylvania law. Some are classified as motor vehicles or off-road vehicles and can’t be legally ridden on public roads or in our parks.

Before you twist the throttle, take 30 seconds to check out this guide. It could save you from:

⚠️ Vehicle impoundment
⚠️ A trip to court

If your e-bike has:
✅ Working pedals
✅ A motor under 750 watts
✅ A top assisted speed of 20 MPH

On 07/05/2026, two kayak oars were stolen in Irvin Park when the owner left the river and went to his car. When he returned 15 minutes later, the oars were gone. This possibly is the car involved. If you know who owns this vehicle or any other information pertaining to this incident please contact the Curwensville Police Department.

UPDATE-The individual who took the oars came forth and returned them after seeing this post. The victim requested no prosecution. Case exceptionally cleared.

On 07/06/2026, officers responded to a reported domestic in the 600 block of Filbert Street. 39 year old Ashley Snyder was cited for Harassment. She struck a 36 year old male in the face with car keys.

A theft of two kayak paddles were reported in Irvin Park on 07/05/2026. Investigation is continuing.

On 07/05/2026, the Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Ridge Avenue for a reported unconscious person. EMS responded and found a 48 year old male to be responsive with no medical emergency. No action taken.

Several complaints of speeding on Schofield and State Streets.

On 06/30/2026 officers responded to assist fire personnel in the 700 block of Susquehanna Ave. for a reported kitchen fire. Malfunctioning dishwasher, no fire.

Several complaints investigated for dogs left outside in the extreme heat. No animal fatalities and all dogs taken out of the elements.

A neighbor dispute was reported in the 400 block of Schofield Street. No action taken or required on 07/01/2026.

A 33 year old female reported being harassed by a 58 year old male ex-paramour who continues to send her messages. Officers warned the 58 year old at the request of the victim and explained he will be arrested if his actions continue.

On 07/03/2026, the Pa State Police called for Curwensville Police assistance as they pursued a motorcycle clocked at over 100 miles per hour into Curwensville. The reckless driver led units on streets, school property and into the Irvin Park area. The driver was identified and arrested after the pursuit ended. The Pa State Police will issue a news release.
