Special Weather Statement issued June 24 at 9:42AM CDT by NWS Norman OK
At 942 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles southeast of Lake Carl Blackwell to
near Meridian. Movement was south at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Stillwater, Chandler, Perkins, Langston, Luther, Wellston, Carney,
Tryon, Ripley, Agra, Coyle, Warwick, Orlando, Kendrick, Meridian,
Fallis, Lake Carl Blackwell, Avery, and Parkland.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Flash Flood Warning issued June 24 at 8:08AM CDT until June 24 at 11:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Payne County in central Oklahoma...
Northeastern Noble County in northern Oklahoma...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 808 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Yale, Morrison, Glencoe, Red Rock, Marland, Sooner Lake and Quay.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Oilton, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Yale.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Yale. This storm was nearly stationary.

possible.

Blackwell to 5 miles east of Coyle. Movement was east at 35 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
