Saturday afternoon, August 29, Argyle VFD participated in a joint training exercise with multiple other VFDs on relay pumping. Thanks to Custer VFD for hosting the event.

At approximately 9am Thursday morning, AVFD was paged out to a report of a small tree on fire, possibly caused by lightning from the previous night. Fast response and moisture from the storm limited the fire to less than a tenth of an acre.

AVFD is building a new station. Early Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the concrete floor was poured. Action videos are in the comments.

Argyle VFD responded to an afternoon report of smoke on Friday, June 5 near the intersection of 20 Mile and Pleasant Valley Rds, with two units and three personnel. The Hawkwright fire was contained to a quarter acre. Thanks to Bob Fischer for the photo.

Members of Argyle VFD attended the ribbon cutting for the new State Wildland Fire District Office in Hot Springs. The new facility was dedicated to Trampus Haskvitz who tragically lost his life on August 11, 2011 in the Coal Canyon Fire. Several Wildland Fire personnel were on hand along with local officials and area fire departments. Governor Rhoden made the dedication and performed the ribbon cutting.
