FOOD FOR FINES

It’s the last week and this is a great opportunity to reduce the amount of unpaid fines in Cut Bank City Court and Glacier County Justice Court. Monday, November 15, 2021, is the last day we will accept FOOD FOR FINES.

You can receive a $5 credit for each non-perishable food item for a total credit of up to $50 at each court.

Courts will not accept:
-outdated/expired food
-food previously received from the food pantry
-Cans under 14oz (except tuna and soup)

Clerk of Court can refuse items she believes do not comply.

Beginning May 6, 2020, we will hold a full day of hearings and trials. If you are scheduled to appear, the Court encourages you to do so by Zoom (download the app and join room 487-423-4990). If you need further assistance, call your attorney or the clerk. If you choose to appear in person, it is our understanding the courthouse doors will still be locked. Come to the back door and knock or call us at 873-3631 and we will let you in. We have hand sanitizer and will be observing all social distancing requirements.

Governor Bullock has now extended the "shelter in place" until April 24, 2020, which automatically extends the Supreme Court's Order dated March 27, 2020. As such, all hearings set through April 24, 2020, in Cut Bank City Court and Glacier Justice Court are VACATED. If you have a pending case, you will receive an Orders with a new hearing date.

The Judge is available at all times for Zoom hearings in the event they are necessary for Orders of Protection, appearances from the detention center, or other matters.

Chief Justice McGrath issued an Order late this afternoon. In compliance, I am hereby VACATING all Cut Bank City Court and Glacier County Justice Court hearings through April 10, 2020, EXCEPT omnibus hearings. The Court will not hold actual hearings, but expects you to complete your forms and return to the Court by scheduled hearing date. Orders with new dates will be mailed next week.

If you are seeking an Order of Protection or file other civil actions, please contact the Court. We remain available to the public even if the courthouse door is locked.

If any appearances are necessary, they will be done by Zoom video.

Be safe. Wash your hands. Stay home.
