APRIL 28, 2020, APPEARANCES/HEARINGS/TRIALS

Chief Justice McGrath issued another order yesterday extending the prior orders to May 4, 2020.

If you are scheduled to appear on April 28, 2020, and do NOT yet have an attorney, your hearing will be continued to another date.

If you are scheduled to appear on April 28, 2020, and DO have an attorney, contact your attorney about your hearing date.

After May 4, 2020, the Court will continue to hold hearings by Zoom. Please take the time to download the app and educate yourself on its use.

The Court understands that many people cannot appear by Zoom. For your safety and ours, we will be limiting the number of people allowed in the courtroom in order to maintain social distancing guidelines. The fabric chairs at counsel table will be removed and all other chairs have been arranged to maintain social distancing. The County Health Nurse will be providing disposable masks as well as hand sanitizer. All people entering the courtroom will be expected to use hand sanitizer.

Finally, Lindsey Keller has left her position at City Court. Kim Czech is now serving as the clerk on a part-time temporary basis until we believe it is safe to conduct interviews.

If you have questions, please contact us.

New telephones were installed in City Court a couple of months ago. Apparently we cannot receive calls if you are calling from an 873 prefix, but cell phone numbers are going through. We have a call in to our tech and hope to have this fixed soon. For those of you that have tried repeatedly to call, we apologize.
