Day 2 begin the day with placing American flag on Veterans‘ graves in local cemetery then cooked lunch together while discussing portfolios.

Started our summer activities with a trip to Columbus GA to visit Mercymed gardens and then a grocery store challenge on a budget for the next day of cooking healthy

4-H in Randolph County is hosting summer activities in June and July for little or NO cost. Some of them include:

Scavenger Hunt in Plains, GA
Volunteering at Feeding the Valley Food Bank in Columbus
Bowling at Stars & Strikes
Tours of MercyMed Gardens and healthy cooking day
Fun Day at the Lake
Deadline to sign up is May 22. Please stop by the office sign up or pick up a flyer with more details.

Vidalia onions are still available at Randolph County 4-H Office 10lbs for $12.
Come visit and purchase a bag or two.

Wildlife Judging was an adventure and we learned a lot as our first attempt. We came with individual wins: Destinee Ragan- Senior 4-H'er placing 3rd in the knowledge test section and Kaydin Atkinson- Junior 4-H'er placing 5th in specimen identification section. We had a great time practicing twice a week with our volunteer Mr. Matt Bradley sharing his knowledge of management plans and Ms. Deborah Yelverton assisted as a volunteer the day of the competition. We also enjoyed an adventure at Truett's Grill in Griffin on the way home.

Join us at the 4-H office 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20th for a 6,7,8 grade meeting to plan summer program and build leadership skills.
