Happy 4th of July from your Cynthiana Fire Department.
Please, remember to stay hydrated and safe during your holiday adventures. Don’t forget your firework safety, and don’t let “Hey watch this” become the reason you get to meet us and other responders.

With the 4th of July approaching this weekend it's important to remember firework safety. Some safety tips to go by are as follows.

* Never hold fireworks
* Water down dry areas where fireworks will placed
* Use flat level surfaces
* Never dispose of duds in a trash can soak them in bucket of water
* Never attempt to relight fireworks
* Never leave children unattended with sparklers some can reach temps close to 2000 degrees.
* Do not use damaged fireworks

IN YOUR COMMUNITY: The Cynthiana Fire Department will soon have a training facility just five minutes from the station. Harrison County reporter Ellen Ice has the story below.

The pad is poured!! Thank you to Eckie Barnett and also Campos Construction LLC for doing a great job for us. Next step is a crane to set metal containers on the pad in a couple of weeks. Stay Tuned…..
