The 2026 Property Tax bills were mailed out on September 30th just like always but our post office has not received them yet. Evidently there is a problem with the mail system. If you want to go ahead and pay you can do so on our website at hcsoky.com or you can stop in and we can look it up for you. Hopefully they will be delivered to your homes the first of next week.

Please keep your vehicles locked. We have had several vehicles in the county gone through over the last week. They are taking the money and throwing the other things in wooded areas or just dropping them.

Prayers for Trooper Phillips’ family, friends and co workers.

Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while
patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103. His dedication to duty and commitment to the commonwealth will not
be forgotten.
Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips’ family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor the life he lived and the badge he wore, and stand together as an agency to support this family in the days ahead.

We have received 3 different calls today about citizens receiving a call from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office about missing jury duty. This is a scam. Please just hang up on them.

US Hwy 27 S near Peacock Rd in Bourbon Co is back open at this time, however crews will still be working in the area throughout the evening into the night. Please use caution and drive slowly in the area. Thank you.

Attention for those who travel 27 through Bourbon County.

🚨 UPDATE – CYNTHIANA ROAD

The Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office and Bourbon County Fire are currently working an active non-injury accident involving a hazardous material on Cynthiana Road, just past Peacock Road heading toward Cynthiana.

The State Emergency Response Team is on scene, and we want to assure everyone that the situation is contained and there is currently no danger to the public.

Cleanup efforts will begin as quickly as possible; however, we anticipate a lengthy closure of Cynthiana Road while the scene is safely handled.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while emergency crews work to safely clear the roadway.

Please avoid 27 North between Bill King Rd and Upper Curry. The road is shut down and could be for a while due to an accident that occured earlier.
