Mosquitoes are the worst. Luckily, the fight continues. 🦟

As mosquito activity continues this summer, our partners at the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District will conduct an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) treatment in portions of Buena Park, Cypress and La Palma from Sept. 2-4 to help reduce adult mosquitoes and the risk of mosquito-borne disease.

📍Treatment area: Near Lincoln Avenue and Walker Street
📅 Sept. 2–4
⏰ Midnight–5:30 a.m.

At the application rate this product will not harm:
►People or pets, even if present during the application,
►Fruit trees, vegetable gardens, or fishponds,
►Bees, as the product is applied at a time when bees are not active.

There is no need to turn off air conditioning systems during the application.

🛋️ Have you heard? Bulky item pickup is now easier than ever in Cypress!

Residents can schedule two free bulky item pickups for the remainder of 2026, with a full benefit of four free pickups per calendar year beginning in 2027.

The expanded program is also now available to residents of apartments, condominiums and other multifamily communities, too!

Single-family residents can schedule directly with Valley Vista Services. Multifamily residents should coordinate pickup through their property manager or HOA.

Things are officially a little more McFun at 4125 Ball Road thanks to Cypress’ newest McDonald’s! 🍔⁠

Mayor Leo Medrano and Council Member Bonnie Peat joined the grand opening celebration to welcome the new business to Cypress. ⁠
⁠
The festivities included a ribbon cutting, DJ, family-friendly activities, and participation from the Boys & Girls Club and Ronald McDonald House.⁠
⁠
The new 3,694-square-foot restaurant features indoor dining and a dual-lane drive-thru, bringing new activity to a site that had been vacant since the former Union Bank branch closed in 2023.⁠
⁠
Franchisee Neal Ruby, who has been involved with McDonald’s restaurants since 1966, also helped mark the occasion.⁠

And with Cypress PD in attendance, even the Hamburglar knew he had to stay on his best behavior. 👀🚓

This change will help stagger trash collection and street sweeping services.

Hey, Cypress! Our friends at the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District 🦟 will be conducting an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) adulticide treatment to address mosquito abundance and the risk of mosquito-borne disease in the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, and Cypress.

The applications will occur within an area near the cross streets of Crescent Ave. and Western Ave. (see map for details)

Treatments are scheduled for:

Wednesday – Friday | August 26th, 27th, and 28th
Midnight to 5:30 a.m.

At the application rate this product will not harm:
