School starts TODAY!!!

🚨 BACK-TO-SCHOOL TRAFFIC SAFETY REMINDER 🚨

As many of you know, some schools across the Coast have already welcomed students back today. Here in the City of D'Iberville, our students will return to the classroom on Wednesday, July 29.

As you travel through our city, please remember to slow down, stay alert, and watch for children, school buses, crossing guards, and increased traffic around our schools.

🎉 Heroes United Summer Camp – Day 5! 🎉
What an incredible way to wrap up an amazing week!

On Friday we wrapped up the camp! Our day began with a special Completion Ceremony, where each camper received a certificate recognizing their hard work and participation throughout the week. We also celebrated our Campers of the Week, recognizing students who demonstrated outstanding character, teamwork, and leadership.

The celebration continued with an exciting Field Day, filled with fun games alongside our police officers and firefighters, face painting, and an awesome obstacle course from the Mississippi Army National Guard that kept everyone smiling! For lunch our firefighters griller burgers and hotdogs for the campers!

As another fantastic year of Heroes United Summer Camp comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our community partners who generously donated food, supplies, and support throughout the week. We are also incredibly grateful to our police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and all of our first responders who invested their time and energy into making this camp such a meaningful experience for these kids.

Thank you to our campers and families for making this week one to remember. We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

Heroes United Summer Camp – Day 4! 🚓🚒🌊

What an amazing day to wrap up another fun-filled week of Heroes United Summer Camp!

The day began with a review of everything our campers learned throughout the week from our police officers and firefighters. Each camper shared their four favorite lessons and takeaways, highlighting the valuable skills and safety knowledge they gained.

Next, we headed to IMMS for an exciting day of hands-on marine life experiences and exploration alongside our first responders. It was a great opportunity for campers to learn, laugh, and create lasting memories together.

We wrapped up the day back at the school with more games, friendly competition, and plenty of fun with our police officers and firefighters.

Thank you to all of our campers, first responders, volunteers, and community partners! Last day tomorrow looking forward to more fun ! ❤️💙

🚒👮 Heroes United Summer Camp – Day 3! 👮🚒

Another exciting day of learning, teamwork, and fun at Heroes United Summer Camp!

Our morning began with the Fire Department teaching campers about fire safety, including Stop, Drop, and Roll, as well as how firefighters safely navigate smoke-filled environments and conduct search-and-rescue operations during a fire.

The Police Department followed with an important lesson on internet and social media safety, covering topics such as cyberbullying, online responsibility, and ways to stay safe while using technology. Campers even took an Online Safety Oath to practice being smart and respectful digital citizens.

Campers also enjoyed behind-the-scenes tours of both the Police and Fire Departments, giving them a firsthand look at daily operations, specialized equipment, and the training our first responders complete to serve the community.

To wrap up an incredible day, everyone headed to the roller skating rink for some well-earned fun before returning to the school for more games and activities with our police officers and firefighters.

Every day at Heroes United brings new experiences, valuable life lessons, and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store! ❤️💙

🚒👮 Heroes United Summer Camp – Day 2 🚑🎬

Another exciting day of learning and fun for our Heroes United campers! City of D'Iberville

Today, our firefighters taught a Basic First Aid class covering important topics such as bleeding control, CPR awareness, environmental emergencies, and how to build a home first aid kit. We were also joined by Acadian Ambulance Service and EMT-B Kelsey, who taught campers about their role in emergency medical response. The kids had a great time touring the ambulance and getting a hands-on look at some of the equipment used by paramedics every day.

Our police officers taught a class called “How to Be a Safety Helper,” where campers learned what to do during emergencies at home or in public:

✅ FREEZE – Step back or move to a safe area.
✅ DON’T PANIC – Stay calm and let the adults do their jobs.
✅ ACTIVATE MOUSE MODE – Stay quiet, avoid asking questions, and allow first responders to focus on helping those in need.

For our field trip, campers enjoyed a trip to the movies to see Toy Story 5! 🎥🍿

After returning, everyone enjoyed free play and more time interacting with our police officers and firefighters.

Day 2 was packed with valuable lessons, new experiences, and plenty of fun. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

🌟 Heroes United Summer Camp – Day #1! 🌟

What an incredible start to the week! Our campers had an action-packed first day filled with learning, fun, and friendly competition!

🚒 DiIberville Fire Department taught important water safety skills and how to safely assist during water emergencies.

👮 DiIberville Police Department led lessons on drug and alcohol awareness and stranger danger, helping our campers learn valuable life skills.

🍗 A huge thank you to Chick-fil-A for providing an amazing lunch for our campers!

🎳 After lunch, we headed to Cypress Lanes for an afternoon of bowling and arcade fun. The day wrapped up with free play in the gym and some friendly competition against our police officers and firefighters!

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the week and can’t wait to see what the rest of camp has in store. Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and community partners who make Heroes United Summer Camp possible!
