This one was a little extra special for me. Gary is married to my cousin, so getting the opportunity to work with a family member and help him take this next step was a pretty cool experience.

Welcome back to the Mississippi Army National Guard, Specialist Josh Swensen!

After previously serving, Josh made the decision to reenlist to continue serving his state while taking advantage of the benefits available for him and his family. We’ve known of each other for about 4 years and have been friends for a little over a year. I had the great privilege of helping him with his process. We’re proud to have him back in the ranks and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in this next chapter of his military career.

Congratulations to Austin Madrill on enlisting in the Mississippi Army National Guard as a 13B Cannon Crewmember.

Austin made a smart move by joining during his senior year at St. Martin High School. He’ll begin drilling one weekend a month, start earning pay now, build time in service, and already begin working toward his future while finishing school.

Proud of Austin for taking this step early and setting himself up for success.

Big congratulations to PVT Katelynn Moran, senior at St. Martin High School, on her enlistment into the Mississippi Army National Guard! 🇺🇸🔥

She’s stepping in as a 31B (Military Police) and already setting her sights HIGH—planning to use her education benefits to attend Ole Miss, earn her law degree, and work toward becoming a lawyer… with goals of one day serving as a JAG officer!
