UF IFAS Extension Pasco County

UF IFAS Extension Pasco County Pasco County Government is Bringing Opportunities Home with the expertise of UF/IFAS Extension. We are here for every single citizen and we can help.

Since 1914, the IFAS/UF Pasco County Extension Office has committed to improving the lives of our citizens one person at a time. Lately, however, these services that should empower and educate our citizens, have become underused and underestimated. Times have changed drastically, and along with it, the Extension offices have changed as well. The office still provides traditional services like plan

t, pest and disease identification services, crop and pasture management, 4-H activities that promote citizenship, and consumer and family sciences programs for children and the elderly. However, those programs have expanded and adapted to the community’s current needs, reaching an ever changing demographic. For example, the IFAS/UF Pasco County Extension Office is reaching out into minority communities with 4-H programs to build strong, healthy children with a sense of pride in their communities and to help develop community gardens to feed those less fortunate and promote healthy, natural nutritional values. Our Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM program has helped homeowners save hundreds of thousands of dollars and helped to secure cleaner and better preserved water resources in our area. We offer ServeSafe programs to keep families healthier and safer at home, work and at school. We help workers and families build meaningful and lasting relationships and even offer advice for aging family members. In addition, our expertise in livestock management and crop production has helped to sustain the highly profitable beef and citrus production, which together, contribute millions of dollars to the local economy annually. Pasco County Government is Bringing Opportunities Home with the expertise of IFAS/UF Extension. Please visit the Extension office or our website and learn more about us. We have Solutions for Your Life.
