🚨 BIG NEWS FOR OUR FIRE SERVICE COMMUNITY! 🚨

The Dadeville Fire Department, Eagle Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Paces Point Volunteer Fire Department, and StillWaters Volunteer Fire & Rescue are proud to announce that our departments have been awarded a regional Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) totaling $940,000.00 for SCBA equipment!

This grant represents a tremendous investment in the safety of the firefighters who serve our communities every day. The new SCBA equipment will help ensure our firefighters have the modern, reliable respiratory protection they need when answering calls and entering hazardous environments.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication, and support of many people and organizations.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to:

On Monday, September 14th, 2026 the Tallapoosa County Commission officially recognized Telecommunicators of the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office as first responders.

Despite their crucial role, telecommunicators are traditionally classified as clerical staff, denying them of certain support, resources, and recognition. 911 Telecommunicators are much more than just call takers. These highly trained professionals are the calm voices at the other end of the line during some of the most challenging moments, providing a lifeline to safety and support.

The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office, applauds the Commission on recognizing the invaluable contributions of 911 Telecommunicators through the reclassification. This reclassificaiton not only honors their service, but also contributes to a stronger and more resilient emergency response system for the community as a whole.

Join us in thanking the Tallapoosa County Commission for their support of these Telecommunicators, and help us spotlight these deserving heroes.

🚨 ATTENTION DADEVILLE GAS CUSTOMERS

The City of Dadeville Gas Department is aware that some customers are still without gas service. Our crews are continuing to work as quickly and safely as possible to get everyone’s service restored.

Please understand that some customers may not have their gas restored until tomorrow. We are limited on manpower, but we are thankful to have crews from other cities assisting us during this process. 🙏

We ask that everyone please be patient and understanding with our crews as we work through each area and restore service as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding. We are working hard to get everyone back up and running! 💙

PSA🚨 IMPORTANT GAS DEPARTMENT SERVICE UPDATE — CITY OF DADEVILLE 🚨

The City of Dadeville Gas Department will be working tonight in residential yards, using flashlights, as our crews work to purge the gas lines and restore gas service to our customers.

During this process, you may smell natural gas in the area. Please do not be alarmed, as this may occur while our crews are purging the lines. Our trained gas department personnel will be working throughout the evening to safely restore service as quickly as possible.

We ask that residents please be aware of our crews working in yards and around gas lines tonight.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everyone’s gas service restored as quickly and safely as possible.
