The Dahlonega Police Department had the pleasure of a visit from Darby, Sawyer & Finn from Little Silo Flower Farm & Farmstand!
They brought some amazing goodies for our officers, and we are so appreciative of their kindness and thoughtfulness. And, of course, an extra special thank-you for the delicious cinnamon rolls! 😋🍥

Contractors to begin AMI Tower Radio Ready System installations and meter changes this week.

Over the next two months, M&E Construction will be installing five poles and changing our water meters as we prepare to launch a tower read meter reading system. This system will allow us to detect leaks more quickly and be more efficient in opening and closing meter accounts. The contractor will not need to enter your home to complete the meter change. M&E Construction employees will be in marked vehicles. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact City Hall at 706-864-6133.

Construction crews will conduct controlled rock blasting for the new STEM Excellence Center on the UNG Dahlonega campus on:

Tuesday, July 28, at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 30, at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The blasts will take place within the fenced construction area between HNS and North Georgia Suites and will be brief. Nearby residents and visitors may hear a loud noise or feel minor vibrations.
For safety, pedestrian and vehicle access near the site will be temporarily restricted from 5:15–5:45 p.m. on both days. No building evacuations are expected, and normal campus operations will continue.
