☀️🐾 Keeping K9 Ace Safe in the Summer Heat 🐾☀️
With temperatures soaring, we know many of you are concerned about our four-legged partner, K9 Ace. Rest assured—Ace's safety is always a top priority.
Our Tesla patrol vehicle is equipped with Dog Mode, which keeps the cabin at a safe, comfortable temperature while using no gasoline and only minimal battery power. The display inside the vehicle also lets passersby know that Ace is safe and that the climate control is on.
Ace's handler can also constantly monitor the temperature inside the vehicle directly from his cell phone, providing an additional layer of safety and allowing him to check on Ace at any time.
In addition, Ace's patrol vehicle is equipped with a K9 heat alarm system. If the interior of the vehicle were ever to reach an unsafe temperature, the system automatically rolls down all of the windows, activates the emergency siren, and flashes the emergency lights to alert everyone nearby.
🚨 If you ever see the windows down, the siren sounding, and the emergency lights flashing with no officer immediately nearby, please call 911 right away. Those features are designed to alert us that Ace may need immediate assistance.
