Yesterday we celebrated the ribbon cutting of CroySafe, an expansion of Croy Contracting, Inc, which has been in business since 1992. A special thanks to the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce, Roanoke Regional Chamber, and the Roanoke Region of Virginia for making the celebration memorable.

💼Small Business Grants are Back!💼

Applications are now open for the Right Here in Botetourt County Small Business Grant Program — available September 4 – October 17, 2025.

This program helps existing local businesses grow, adapt, and continue providing jobs and services right here in Botetourt County. Grants typically range from $2,000 to $6,000 and are available to Botetourt-based businesses.

✅ Only Botetourt businesses are eligible
✅ Funds stay in our community
✅ Strengthens local small business

In 2024, Botetourt County was proud to partner with the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation Blue to bring the Cherry Blossom Kids in Parks TRACK Trail to life!

This fun, educational trail invites kids and families to explore the outdoors, get active, and connect with nature right here in the heart of Botetourt. The Beaver Dam Farm Sunflowers Festival returns Sept. 5–14, 2025, in Buchanan, VA—celebrating a decade of sunflowers, community, and economic impact.

What began as a small family event has grown into the largest sunflower festival and vendor show on the East Coast, drawing 20,000+ visitors annually and generating $1.4 million in local economic impact.
