📝REMINDERS
-The trucks will leave town to dump several times on Saturday. Sometimes, they need to return on Sunday to finish pickups. They did not miss your house! They will be back!
-DO NOT SET ITEMS OUTSIDE OF DUMPSTERS. The dumpsters are monitored. This is littering!
-Yard waste MUST be in biodegradable bags
-Broken glass must be in a taped box with "GLASS" clearly marked
-NO DEAD ANIMALS (yes, we have to say that...)

🚨DUMPSTERS AVAILABLE🚨

Residents of Daleville, the Daleville-Salem Township Fire Protection Territory notified us that two dumpsters (open to the public) are available for use at the Fire Station: 14010 W. Daleville Road, Daleville, IN 47334.

Please be courteous when using the dumpsters. Never block a fire apparatus or ambulance, do NOT leave trash or debris around the dumpsters, and wave at your local first responders. They have worked so hard to care for us all these last few days.

The dumpsters will be on site until they are full, so we advise you to utilize them as soon as possible. We are grateful to Best Way and DSTFPT for their kindness to our community.

The Town is currently trying to find ways to help those who are affected by flooding in their homes/properties. If you are a resident, who is on our existing trash route, and in need of an extra pickup due to flooding, please use this form to let us know.

If there are enough folks in need of this service, we will try to organize a special curbside pickup to help you get those wet, damaged items out of the house!

The lift station has been fully restored for residents who live in Raintree Estates and on River Road, so the sewer system is functioning at normal capacity. All roads are now also fully open throughout town.

Please use caution while driving, and please contact emergency services if you notice flooding on a roadway in Daleville.

Shellabarger Park remains dangerously flooded, and it is still closed. Avoid the area, do NOT attempt to swim through the waters, and please stay safe!

ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE 9:45am 8/14/26

River Road has reopened from Sarah Street to Heather Lane.

As of now, folks in Raintree Estates and on River Road (from Sarah Street to Heather Lane) should try to limit their flushing and use of the sewer system. This is not to say it cannot be used, but the lift station is now being serviced by DCRWD.

We will continue to update. We anticipate fully reopening River Road later this morning. We will share when we receive news from DCRWD regarding the sewer system.

We continue to pray for safety for our residents and friends in neighboring communities.

Daleville Residents:

Please note that there is some confusion on the evacuation zone in Daleville today (8/13/26)

Residents are being voluntarily evacuated ONLY in the Raintree Estates addition in Daleville. There was some concern online that this would affect other neighborhoods. To be clear, we DO NOT expect evacuations or additional flooding of this type anywhere other than the homes/apartments in the lower section of Raintree Estates (closest to the White River).

The Road Closure Zone is EXPANDING ⚠🚨

As the White River starts to reach its peak, the floodwaters are gaining on the roadways and surrounding properties quickly. Please take note that River Road is now closed from Sarah Street to 400 S.

Those who live in the lower part of Raintree Estates are now being evacuated before flooding takes over. Police, Fire/EMS, and Town employees are in the area placing evacuation notices on their doors. If you are in the area, please check your door for an evacuation notice. They are doing their best to speak to residents if they are home!

Trinity Community Church, located at 13801 W Main Street, Daleville, IN, has offered their facilities has a safe haven for those who are evacuated.

If you are having an emergency, please call 911 immediately. If you are home and in the area, please seek out an emergency worker (if it is safe for you to get one) and let them help you get to safety.

We are praying for your safety, your homes & possessions, and we will do everything in our power to help you!

Please share this post & help us spread the word.

Do NOT attempt to pass through the area. If you live in the affected area, please use extreme caution. As of now, you can still move to and from the apartments and single-family homes at the base of the hill. This may change soon & it may change rapidly.

Have an emergency plan in place. If you experience an emergency, call 911 immediately. Do not contact the police department/fire department phones as they are not manned 24/7. For nonemergency dispatch, please call 765-747-7878.

Our awesome crew went out in search of sand, and they are filling bags now! If you need sandbags, they will be sitting out in front of the new maintenance building on Heroes Way & Daleville Road (14126 W Daleville Road is the proper address).

Limited supplies and materials, so head over asap if you’re in need.

Thank you to Daleville Police Department and Daleville-Salem Township Fire Protection Territory for the teamwork on filling bags quickly to help our friends & neighbors!

Tomorrow, May 5, 2026, is Election Day. Please note that Delaware County has moved to voting centers. Locally, Daleville residents can vote at the Daleville Fire Department. The polls are open from 6am-6pm.
