This position performs duties related to the City’s building permit, zoning, and ordinance compliance programs, including assisting residents and businesses with City regulations, administering building and sign permits, handling zoning matters, and serving as Floodplain Manager.
Minimum Requirement:
• Possession of a valid Alabama driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pre-employment screenings

Motorists traveling on Chinook Road are advised to SLOW DOWN and use extra caution due to deep ruts in the roadway.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – ROAD CLOSURE & DETOUR 🚧

Beginning Monday, Chinook Road will be closed from Caribou Drive to Patton Drive due to construction.

🚧 A detour will be in place. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted detour signs for your safety and the safety of construction crews.

🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE – BOOM TRUCK OUT OF SERVICE 🚨

The City of Daleville Public Works Department advises residents that our boom truck is currently out of service due to mechanical issues.

As a result, limb pickup has been temporarily suspended. Pickup services will resume as soon as the necessary repairs have been completed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get the equipment back in service as quickly and safely as possible.

Due to ongoing construction, the City of Daleville Water Department will be drive-thru service only until further notice.

💧 Payments and routine customer transactions can still be completed through the drive-thru window.

This is not acceptable.
To help keep the City of Daleville clean, all bulk household trash must be placed in garbage bags or appropriate containers before being set out for collection. Loose trash creates litter, is easily scattered by wind and animals, and makes cleanup much more difficult.
Keeping our community clean is a shared responsibility. The City is committed to providing collection services, but we all must do our part by properly preparing trash for pickup.
