This afternoon DVFD responded to a car on fire at the corner of 5th and Peters Ave.

Dalhart PD also responded to the call. 🚨

DVFD is currently working an accident on South Highway 87 between two vehicles.

Also assisting with the incident is Hartley County EMC, Hartley County Sheriff’s Deputy, Texas State Troopers, Dalhart EMS, M & S Towing and Cierra Towing. 🚨

This week, Captain Shiloh Watts (pictured right, next to his Father) is in Fort Worth representing the Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department at the Texas Fire Chiefs Association Executive Chief Officers Academy. This intensive program focuses on the evolving role of fire leadership in today’s world.Captain Watts is only the fourth member of our department to attend this prestigious academy. His attendance is a key part of Chief Garcia’s vision: “to eventually have our entire officer staff complete this course. By investing in elite training, we ensure that we are prepared to better serve Dalhart and our surrounding area with the highest level of leadership.”

🚨 DALHART VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT- Response update. Truck fire

Responding to a semi truck on fire off of Ponda Rosa Lane this morning. The fire has been extinguished and crews are at the station restoring Fire Units back to service ready for the next call.

Also assisting with the fire was Dalhart PD and Dalhart EMS.
