ATTENTION. IMPORTANT

Be advised there have been multiple reports of an individual contacting local residents claiming to be a Sgt Todd with the Dallam County Sheriffs Office. I do not have a Sgt Todd in my agency. The person is claiming to be contacting in reference to a warrant for failing to appear for a court date or possibly for failing to appear for jury duty. He then will advise you to pay by odd means like gift cards (ETC).Be advised you will never be contacted by phone for a warrant and you will never be asked to pay by unconventional means. If you receive a call immediately hang up. Do not give any information or send any payment.
