Our Legacy Assisted Living Residents throughout the month of July built a Semiquincentennial Timeline highlighting major U.S. events, important historical inventions, and most importantly their lives. We had a marvelous time listening to our residents share their experiences with us and learning about history through their eyes!

At Legacy Assisted Living, we have have a special resident who has been in Dalhart for more than 65 years of XIT Rodeo and Reunion!🫶🏻🤠

Ms. Juanita Porter has been gracious enough to share some of her favorite moments from her XIT memories. Ms. Porter says that the XIT Parade is something to see and her favorite event. The main difference from her first XIT Rodeo to now is now the rodeo is a PRCA rodeo. Overall, her favorite memories are seeing all the different people come together and celebrate!🥳🤩

Here at DHCHD we are so blessed to have residents who have such rich life experiences and are willing to share those experiences with us!💙

C**n Memorial Nursing Home crowned the annual XIT King and Queen with the help of the XIT Board of Directors, their families, the XIT Queen, and the XIT Queen Candidates. The coronation is a treasured tradition here at DHCHD, and we are blessed to have residents that make it hard to pick just one!🥰

Be on the look out for the King and Queen in the parade and give them a wave!☺️👋🏻

Here at Legacy Assisted Living, we kicked off our 90th XIT Rodeo and Reunion with the XIT Board of Directors, their families, current XIT Queen, and queen contestants coming out and spending time with our residents.

Our residents had a wonderful time sharing memories on past XIT experiences, favorite moments during parades, and the wonderful food!🤠🍗

Our residents at Legacy Assisted Living had a fun filled dinner with their friends and family! 💙

Lots of laughter, love, and fellowship was shared during this festive gathering. The Legacy residents were able to celebrate the patriotic holidays by eating grilled hotdog and hamburgers, chips, and delicious desserts! 🌭🥧
