“I had an idea to create a hardcover book for my daughter’s 50th birthday, and Heirloom Digital Founder Anna Clark had the vision, talent and patience to turn it into reality. Selecting from hundreds of film slides to dozens of printed and digital photos, her technical knowledge and artistic sensitivity helped transform images into ‘lifescapes’, weaving in themes (30 or so) and placing my chosen quotations (20 or so) throughout. (I heIped with the chronology, coffee and chocolate-chip cookies!). Our final creation was translated from numerous images, telephone calls, e-mails and meetings in my home. She truly was a partner in nurturing my idea into a 70-page keepsake. Both daughter and others continue to enjoy witnessing the wonder of the baby; achievements of the adolescent; education, travel and career; and the marriage of the adult—all the while being surrounded by family, friends and pets. The album is not only a visual delight, but also an emotional ‘spark plug’ for viewers: smiles, tears, hugs, ‘Oh, I remember that!’ Thank you, Heirloom Digital, for this portrait of this ‘child of the universe’.”
