The need for a stronger safety net is growing across North Texas.
In 2026, 3,513 people were identified as experiencing homelessness on a single night in Dallas and Collin counties. Even more concerning, the number of households needing homelessness intervention each year has increased 83% since 2021.
For young people who have experienced foster care, CPS involvement, or housing instability, the path toward homelessness can begin long before they are seen sleeping outside.
STORM Center of Hope & Service walks alongside Pathfinders ages 13–28, helping them move from crisis toward stability through caring relationships, transportation, essential-needs assistance, life-skills experiences, crisis support, and resource navigation.
You may not be able to open your home to a young person in foster care—but you can open your heart and help build the safety net around them.
Our North Texas Giving Day goal is $10,000. Your support will strengthen our year-round work and help us prepare for Holiday Harmony, our annual community Christmas celebration. Although we are grateful to partner with Toys for Tots, age-appropriate gifts for teenagers can be more difficult to secure. We want every teen to feel remembered, valued, and included.
Will you help us reach our goal?
