Today we celebrate the delayed freedom of the enslaved African Americans in Galveston and across Texas. Two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation, on June 19th of 1865, union workers informed the slaves that they had been declared free. Though this day is filled with joy and celebration, it is a reminder that the fight for total freedom and equity is still present. Happy Juneteenth!

1. Sensory bins with dry rice
2. Stacking cups
3. Narrated walks outside
4. Sorting by color with socks
5. Water play in the sink

More good days together. There will always be something more that can be done. There will always be something that you wish you didn't do. But getting held up on that will rob you of the good day that is waiting right in front of you.
