60 care packages that contain all these items are being handed out right now. There are people on the streets of Dallas, Texas that are living in this 99 degree weather.

There is a little coffee shop, where two people arrive and approached the counter.

“Five coffees please. Two for us and three hanging.”

They paid, they took their two coffees and left.

I asked the waiter. "What’s this about hanging coffees?"

“Wait and you'll see."

Some more people came in.

Two girls asked for a coffee each, they paid & left.

The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women - ‘three for them and four hanging coffees.’

I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the hanging coffees, they leave.

Then, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely...

“Do you have a coffee hanging?"

“Yes we do, sir.”

They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer.

People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink.

This tradition started in Naples.

Amazingly, it has spread throughout the world’s cities and towns.

It’s also possible to order not only "hanging coffees" but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities and towns where we live?

Small kindnesses like this can impact so many lives, in ways we could never imagine.

Maybe we should all try it.😊❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make our care packages heavier than ever! Each of the 60 care packages contained - 2 packages of chips, 2 bottles of water, Emergency water packet, Nutrigrain bar, Package of Ramen Noodles, Trail mix, Peanut butter crackers, Granola bars, Protein bar, Package of chicken salad & crackers, Antiperspirant, Hot Cocoa, Oatmeal, (2) PB & J sandwiches, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Shaving kit, Soap, Shampoo, Hair Conditioner, Body lotion, Alcohol pad, Antibiotic ointment, Bandaids, Rain poncho and an PB oatmeal treat.

REMINDER: Hello, Mason’s friends and supporters. We’re just over a week away from this year’s May 4 event at the Ballpark to benefit people who are homeless, in Mason’s honor.

We hope you’ll join us to celebrate Mason’s legacy. And even if you can’t, we encourage you to perform an act of kindness over the May 4 weekend.

NEW THIS YEAR: ❤️ Learn how to be a lifesaver. CPR trainers from the American Heart Association will be on hand for CPR demonstrations and to help those who want to practice chest compressions with a manikin. ❤️

What a fantastic human. I love Dave Grohl 🫶

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters spent Super Bowl Sunday cooking for the homeless.

According to Hope of the Valley, Grohl and his friends donated over 24 hours of their time to barbecuing 70 pork butts for The Woodlands Family Shelter in Woodland Hills, California.

Grohl has donated his time and BBQ skills to feed the homeless on multiple occasions in recent years. Back in December, he spent a day off from Foo Fighters’ Australian tour feeding the homeless in Melbourne, Australia. Before that, he spent more than 18 hours behind a smoker cooking for at-risk people impacted by winter storms in Southern California.
