The 2026 Jokes & Jazz event hosted by the of Jack and Jill was truly an amazing experience filled with laughter, great music, and community spirit. Greater Than Expectations was honored to be one of the beneficiaries of this incredible event. We are deeply grateful for their belief in our mission and their continued support of our programs. Our 2nd Annual Holiday Soirée with and the was filled with holiday cheer, great food, joyful fellowship, and plenty of festive spirit. It was a wonderful way to bring together supporters and students from both organizations as we celebrated the season and closed out the year with a bang.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it! was truly blessed by this holiday season. Our students were shown incredible love through shopping, a gospel concert, impactful panel discussions, and life-changing gifts—including driver’s education, self-care experiences, rent assistance, MacBooks, and so much more. To top it all off, United Megacare surprised our organization with a $5,000 donation to continue the work we do. Thank you, United Megacare, for pouring into our students and believing in our mission.

We are beyond proud to celebrate Betty B. on earning her Master’s degree in Health Informatics from UNT–Denton 🎓

From a Bachelor’s in Health Science (Healthcare Administration emphasis) to a master’s that blends technology and patient care, Betty is showing what’s possible with vision, persistence, and purpose. Her journey reflects resilience and determination, and she’s opening doors—not just for herself, but for her siblings who are watching her lead the way.

With goals of becoming a nurse informatics leader and one day a CIO, Betty is breaking barriers and redefining what leadership in healthcare can look like.
