This little visitor was spotted blending in at Cedar Ridge Preserve! Its long, angled face and slender body help it disappear among grasses and other vegetation.

Planning a visit? Keep your eyes out for these lizards! The Texas Spiny Lizard (Sceloporus olivaceus), is commonly found in our area. While they may look scary, they are harmless to humans. They are known for their rough, spiny scales and dark wavy bands across their backs!
