Housing Forward NTX’s Point-In-Time (PIT) Count wrapped up close to midnight on Friday, and we helped ensure that everyone was counted—and cared for.

Harmony CDC teamed up with Zarin Gracey District 3, who assisted in recruiting volunteers, to canvass high-need areas across Southern Dallas. We offered more than just a census—we connected with unhoused neighbors, listened to their stories, and offered food and housing services.

Our staff looks forward to working long-term with the people we met.

Tonight, Harmony CDC is volunteering for Housing Forward NTX’s Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, the annual census of unhoused neighbors. This vital event helps track homelessness trends and ensures resources are allocated where they’re needed most.

Employee Spotlight 💫: Meet Maya!

Maya joined Harmony CDC a year ago as a graduate intern in Housing and now works as a Rapid Rehousing Case Manager. In her first 90 days, she’s already making a big impact by providing client support and coordinating housing resources with local partners.

Originally from North Mississippi, Maya grew up in Dallas and is a Texas Southern University graduate. She’s currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Louisiana State University and aims to earn a PhD. Her long-term goal? To run a nonprofit focused on empowering youth.

We’re excited to see all the amazing work Maya (in the red shirt) will continue to do.
