Yesterday the City Council approved a request by Dallas Park and Recreation Department and Parks for Downtown Dallas for $2.6 million in City Center TIF District funding to allow for the completion of Harwood Park, just north of Dallas Farmers Market in Downtown Dallas, Inc.. Harwood Park is the final of four priority parks that Parks for Downtown Dallas is building in partnership with the City of Dallas - City Hall. The park broke ground in late 2021 and is set to open fall 2023.

We have great news to share! The City Council just approved a 244-acre expansion to the Oak Cliff Gateway TIF district today. The expansion would boost neighborhoods around the Southern Gateway Park and provide affordable housing using property-tax revenue from the Bishop Arts District and original Oak Cliff Gateway area. The district will have an estimated $353 million to invest in the coming years.
