It’s inevitable that American democratic values are deeply rooted in our entertainment, especially movies. “Some movies show the challenge of power. All the King’s Men, both its 1949 version and 2006 remake, highlight how absolute power can corrupt absolutely, reminding us of the importance of checks and balances on political power,” says Nicole Bibbins Sedaca, the Kelly and David Pfeil Fellow at the Bush Institute.

The Bush Institute's Veteran Wellness Alliance coalition with Avalon Action Alliance connects veterans to peer-to-peer networks and best-in-class mental and brain health care providers. Through their mission, they help veterans and first responders heal from the invisible wounds of service. By connecting veterans with life-changing care, they ensure that no warrior navigates these challenges alone.

"This community is built on honesty, authenticity, and trust, and I quickly learned that by openly sharing my story, my challenges, and how I have benefited from getting the help I needed, I have opened the door for fellow veterans to get the care they deserve," said Greg Frey, vice president of strategic engagement and partnerships at Avalon Action Alliance
