Welcome to September, a new month and another opportunity to advance health equity and strengthen the global fight against cancer.

At the David Omenukor Foundation, we believe that every person regardless of location, income, or circumstance deserves access to reliable cancer education, preventive healthcare, early screening, and compassionate support.

This month, we renew our commitment to advocating for rural, underserved, and medically vulnerable communities in Texas, Nigeria, and beyond. By addressing barriers to care and expanding access to life-saving information and screening services, we can improve health outcomes and build healthier communities.

Together, we will continue our Global Crusade Against Cancer through:

Awareness. Access. Advocacy. Action.

Happy New Month from the David Omenukor Foundation.

The David Omenukor Foundation, in partnership with Methodist Health System, encourages all eligible women to be proactive about their health by scheduling a mammogram ahead of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Do not wait until you notice a lump or experience symptoms.
Encourage your mother, sister, daughter, friend, or colleague to get screened.

Make your breast health a priority.
Early detection can lead to earlier treatment and better outcomes. Take this important step for yourself and the people who love you.

Book your mammogram today and encourage another woman to do the same!

Thank you, GCCA, for highlighting our work and for believing in our mission to improve colorectal cancer awareness and screening in underserved communities.

We are deeply grateful for the support of the Global Colon Cancer Association (GCCA) through the CRC Health Equity Grants Program. Your investment has enabled us to transform awareness into action by bringing education, screening, and hope directly to communities that need it most.

This impact was made possible through the dedication of our volunteers, healthcare professionals, community partners, the leadership of St. Brigid's Catholic Parish, Nnarambia, and every community member who participated.

At the David Omenukor Foundation we remain committed to our mission of "From Awareness to Action: Fighting Colorectal Cancer in Our Communities." Together, we will continue working toward a future where everyone has equitable access to lifesaving colorectal cancer education, screening, and early detection.

Thank you for your partnership. Together, we are saving lives.

Our mission is very clear and we continue putting in the great work.

Our mission is very clear and we continue putting in the great work.

A conversation can save a life.

In rural communities across Nigeria, many people have never heard of colorectal cancer, don't know the warning signs, and may not realize that screening can help find problems before symptoms appear.

That's why the David Omenukor Foundation is bringing education, screening, and follow-up support directly into the community.

With support from GCCA's CRC Health Equity Grants program, the Foundation reached approximately 2,500 people with colorectal cancer education and helped connect individuals with screening and referrals for further care when needed.

Their story is a powerful reminder that health equity starts with awareness, access, and trust.
