The Arturo Salazar Elementary School community promotes and maintains a safe, civil, and positive learning environment for all of our stakeholders, students, teachers, parents and guardians, and the community. We function as a professional learning community and our teachers continuously conduct collaborative inquiry into the art and science of effective teaching and learning. We provide parent cl

asses and guest speakers to support our parents and guardians in their quest to be excellent first teachers for their children and to effectively and positively engage with our school and Dallas ISD. Extracurricular activities provide opportunities for students and parents to expand their cultural and social horizons. We are committed to ensuring an active, engaging, and rigorous learning environment for our students, as well as the necessary support to meet high expectations, as we prepare them for success in middle and high school and to graduate college and workforce ready. 🤠 Saddle Up, Salazar Families!

We are excited to kick off another amazing school year! Next Monday, we will officially welcome back our incredible teachers as they begin professional development and prepare their classrooms for the return of our little Eagles.

This year, we are starting a new tradition at Salazar—Stock the Teacher Lounge! We would love to fill our teacher lounge with snacks, drinks, and other goodies to help our amazing staff power through the school day.

🤠 ¡Familias de Salazar, es hora de prepararnos para un gran año escolar!
¡Estamos muy emocionados por el inicio de un nuevo ciclo escolar! El próximo lunes daremos la bienvenida oficialmente a nuestros increíbles maestros, quienes regresarán para participar en su desarrollo profesional y preparar sus salones para recibir a nuestros pequeños Eagles.

Este año queremos comenzar una nueva tradición en Salazar: ¡Norte el Sala de Maestros! Nos encantaría llenar nuestra sala de maestros con refrigerios, bebidas y otros artículos que les ayuden a recargar energías durante el día escolar.

The Salazar family invites all staff, parents, students, and community members to join us for a Balloon Release in honor of Mrs. Rebeca Gonzalez-Rocha, a beloved Salazar Eagle who dedicated over 15 years to our students and families.

The balloon release will take place in front of the school building. Some balloons will be available, but feel free to bring navy blue or orange balloons in honor of our Eagle. 🦅🧡💙
