Ascend North Texas is the North Texas chapter of Ascend, the largest, non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America.

Ascend reaches 60,000 people with 34 student chapters and 17 professional chapters located in both the United States and Canada around major business hubs and ed

ucational institutions. We offer robust professional development and career enhancement programs designed to cultivate Pan-Asian talent. In addition, the National Association of Asian MBAs (NAAMBA), Ascend’s national organization for MBA professionals and students, fosters Competent, Committed, Competitive, and Collaborative global MBA leaders to fulfill diverse talent pipelines. Our Membership
Membership is open to individuals of all ethnicity and business backgrounds. The majority of our members come from fields where there is a high concentration of Pan-Asians – accounting, financial services, technology, engineering, professional services, and others in business, government, and academia. Our Community
Pan-Asians have cultural origins from more than 32 ethnic groups. Of those, six major groups account for more than 95 percent of the Pan-Asians in the U.S.: Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. The role that they play in the global marketplace continues to grow with the economic growth of Asia, especially China, India and Southeast Asia. Pan-Asian professionals represent a pipeline of strong talent for companies. Today, Pan-Asians are high contributors to U.S. and global businesses:

The Pan-Asian population is expected to triple to 40 million in the next 40 years. The Pan-Asian workforce is highly-educated, technically skilled and affluent with tremendous leadership potential. Pan-Asian corporations are setting up operations in the U.S. and represent the fastest growing market.

Kickstarting the event with the Toyota Welcome Address is TELLIS BETHEL , the dynamic Group VP and chief social innovation officer for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA)!

Bethel brings his personal passion to advance equity to the role- while overseeing TMNA’s strategic partnerships, philanthropic efforts, and diversity and inclusion activities.

Beginning his now more than 15 years’ long career with Toyota Financial Services as a Graduate Management Team Member, Bethel was most recently VP of Voluntary Protection Products, where he led the business unit, responsible for $300M+ in operating income annually from the origination of optional products when financing Toyota, Lexus, and Mazda vehicles.

With a commitment to enhancing accessibility for all, Bethel devotes time and resources to marginalized groups, including the Boys & Girls Club of America, Junior Achievement USA, North Texas Food Bank, TutorMe, and HBCUs as well as HSIs.

Within Toyota, Bethel participates in affinity groups focused on women and LGBTQ+ segments. His contribution has been recognized with the Diversity Champion Award for 2022 and the President’s award for his community involvement.

It's the annual Ascend National Convention time again!

The 2022 edition of the event is being held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim California!

The majority of our members come from fields where there is a high concentration of Pan-Asians – accounting, financial services, technology, engineering, professional services, and others in business, government, and academia. Our Community Pan-Asians have cultural origins from more than 32 ethnic groups. Of those, six major groups account for more than 95 percent of the Pan-Asians in the U.S.: Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. The role that they play in the global marketplace continues to grow with the economic growth of Asia, especially China, India and Southeast Asia. Pan-Asian professionals represent a pipeline of strong talent for companies.

Today, Pan-Asians are high contributors to U.S. and global businesses: The Pan-Asian population is expected to triple to 40 million in the next 40 years. The Pan-Asian workforce is highly-educated, technically skilled and affluent with tremendous leadership potential. Pan-Asian corporations are setting up operations in the U.S. and represent the fastest growing market.

Jared serves as the Vice President of User Engagement for Kanarys, a Dallas-based startup that provides actionable insights to companies by enabling employees to anonymously rate their workplace on diversity, inclusion, and culture. Prior to these roles, Jared gained several years of experience as a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Huron Consulting Group serving Fortune 100 clients.

Jared has a heart for service. He is currently a Partner with Social Venture Partners Dallas, a philanthropic organization focused on strengthening nonprofits and investing in innovative solutions to address community challenges. His past community leadership experience includes serving on the board of the Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals and as a member of the Dallas Mayor’s Star Council.

Over the course of her 16-year tenure at Fossil Group, Bianca has led efforts in the areas of Merchandising, Global Operations, Marketing, and Brand Management. Bianca seeks to serve and empower women and young people and invests her time mentoring high school and college-aged women through the Dallas Step Up Women’s Network and GenHERation, a national network where young women and companies connect.

Bianca is also a member of the Orchid Giving Circle at the Texas Women’s Foundation, and recently stepped into a new community role - serving on the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Corporate Council.
