In 2026, a local couple purchased this property with the plans of moving the main office of their business to Dallas. Because of the City’s Urban Renewal Grant Program, they were able to preserve this historic home by replacing the worn out roof and improving the sewer system. Now, this new business will be able to grow in Dallas and hire local residents!

Learn more about the grant program by visiting https://www.dallasor.gov/ecd/page/urban-renewal-grants

UPDATE: The hive have been safely removed.

We have closed a section of the Dallas City Park, at entrance of the park on Brandvold Drive, because of a large bees nest. For everyone's safety, please stay away from this small section of the park until we complete mitigation efforts.

Dallas Fire & EMS would like to give a big thank you to Salem Health West Valley Hospital for allowing our firefighters to utilize one of their buildings for training as the hospital prepares for upcoming remodeling.

This opportunity will allow our career and volunteer firefighters to conduct realistic, hands-on training in an actual structure using smoke machines and other training scenarios. Training in a real building provides an experience that simply can’t be replicated in a classroom or training tower—and helps our crews stay prepared for the challenges they may encounter on an emergency call.

We’re incredibly grateful to West Valley Hospital for partnering with us and helping us provide this valuable training opportunity to our firefighters 🚒🤝

And don’t worry, Dallas! 🚦 Traffic should not be impacted by the training. The only potential delay may be a little rubbernecking from passing motorists wondering what’s going on! 👀😉

We appreciate our community partners who help us train harder, prepare better, and ultimately provide better service to the community we proudly serve 🫶🏼

We have closed a section of the Rickreall Creek Trail System just west of the Aquatic Center because a large, aggressive, colony of yellowjacket wasps (verified by a beekeeper) is nested next to the trail. For everyone's safety, please stay off this small section of the trail until we complete mitigation efforts.
