City of Dallas BEST BEST is a resource and partner with the City of Dallas' executive leadership team to assure diversity and equal representation in all grades of employment.

The Black Employees Support Team was formed in 1986 when several concerned female employees came together to examine the status of African-American women employed by the City of Dallas. In 1989, BEST extended its membership to include all men and women working for the City of Dallas. BEST conducts networking and career development events to enhance employees’ potential with the City. In addition t

o professional opportunities, BEST hosts Black History Month programs and other cultural events. BEST members are City of Dallas employees who are actively committed to the betterment of municipal government.

Today, BEST proudly represented at the City of Dallas Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony as we joined City leadership, employees, and community members in honoring the significance of June 19, 1865.

We are especially proud of our Communications Chair, Nicole Mosley, who delivered remarks on behalf of BEST during this meaningful celebration of freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth reminds us of the strength and perseverance of those who came before us and inspires us to continue building a future rooted in unity, opportunity, and empowerment for all.

Thank you to the City of Dallas for hosting this important event and creating space to reflect on our shared history while looking ahead to the future we are building together.
