Misty received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Texas Woman’s University and is a Texas certified Educational Diagnostician. Misty has nineteen years of professional experien
ce in working with students with learning differences. Misty has held positions in both academic and administrative settings. Misty is experienced in working with a variety of learning differences including, but not limited to, dyslexia, reading, writing and math processing difficulties, and Asperger’s Syndrome. Misty is trained in multisensory reading strategies such as the Orton-Gillingham program from the Institute of Multisensory Education. Misty has experience in the Touch Math and America’s Phonics programs. Misty looks forward to providing a variety of educational tools and skills to help overcome academic obstacles. Misty’s years of teaching and diagnostic experience will help students succeed both in the classroom and in life. Dyslexia Intervention:
Tutors utilize the time-tested Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction and hold advanced degrees. The intervention provided is a revised and expanded multisensory approach that provides students the opportunity for success and benefits every

Explicit instruction in these key areas is given, while utilizing and strengthening all learning pathways through our unique multi-sensory approach emphasizing visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles.
